US drone strikes kill 11 al Qaida militants in Yemen

Yemeni military officials say two suspected U S drone strikes in southern Yemen killed 11 al Qaida militants on Saturday near Marib and Shabwa. The first attack near the border killed six including one Egyptian national, the second strike hit two cars in Marib killing five. Separately, government troops near Zinjibar killed a general, a soldier and six militants in an ongoing campaign.
