In Dallas area a digital age brawl ended in 27 students among nearly three dozen arrests after an Internet organized clash on March 3 in Garland. Police say insults were traded in a chat room before fights with fists bats shovels and weapons.
Wal Mart Stores Inc will pay a 3.1 million dollar fine to settle a Clean Water Act violation from excessive storm water runoff at construction sites. The agreement with the EPA and Justice Department requires improved runoff controls at over 200 sites annually including Sam’s Club locations.
Independent Ralph Nader won Reform Party endorsement giving him ballot access in at least seven states including Florida and Michigan. He will decide on state by state use of Reform lines while pursuing other paths and hopes Reform members help expand ballot access nationwide.
