Logan High School Alternative Education Program Faces Funding Gap
The John A Logan College Alternative Education Program for Logan County high school students may lose funding after a three year, federally supported grant. Principal Jo Ann Obi notes the program serves students who do not fit regular schooling, with plans to expand the service area while trimming time spent in the program. It has received $46,900 and seeks $31,292 from the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission for the final year of federal funds. Students must complete standard high school coursework to earn their diploma.
