Dixon leads Indy pole qualifying pace despite rain delay
Indy rookie Scott Dixon sped to 233.236 mph in a rain-shortened practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the fastest since 1996. The session was halted by wet weather and the opening round of time trials was postponed to Sunday. Dixon, with Chip Ganassi Racing Toyota-powered G Force, aims for pole on May 25 as Robby Gordon, Tony Kanaan, Dan Wheldon, Gil de Ferran, Kenny Brack and Helio Castroneves posted fast times.
