Radio Group Forms Southern TiMois Citizens Band Club
The Citizens Band Club in Southern Ti Mois organized to aid law enforcement in emergencies. Officers include Charles White president, C Mitchell vice president, Richard Kobler secretary, Jack Bearden treasurer, Roy Guetersloh director, Lacy Lee Carterville sergeant at arms. About 60 members with citizen band radios, many also Civil Defense. FCC set aside 23 channels for citizen band used by small businesses for two way communications with limited range. Nora meets first Monday monthly. meeting at Christopher High School cafeteria at 7:30 p m. White to distribute courtesy cards to members for future assistance.

Carbondale High School Board to Meet Thursday
Carbondale Community High School District 165 Board of Education will meet at 7 30 p m Thursday to begin the 1963 64 budget, consider salary increases for teachers and discuss hiring of Marketable Skills High School administrators and other new faculty. A report by the building and grounds committee on repairs and maintenance for the district five buildings will be presented at the conference room of Carbondale Community High School.
