Bald Knob Cross on Mount Bald Knob Easter Draws Thousands
The Bald Knob Cross on Bald Knob Mountain began in 1959 and was completed in 1963. After Wayman Presley appeared on This Is Your Life, attendance surged, with the next Easter service drawing about 15,000 worshippers. The recently expanded welcome and gift center, now 3,000 square feet, hosts weddings and fundraisers among other events.

Coal plant expansion promises 1600 jobs in Illinois
