Christopher Grade School Board Race Debates Consolidation
Two of five candidates seek two seats on Christopher Grade School District 34 board April 8. Charles Johnson and Vicki Perry favor consolidation with the high school district, while Gary Cesar opposes and Herbert Flickinger and Bob Kirk stay undecided. Kirk says he needs more information. Flickinger wants study before forming an opinion. Cesar stresses keeping the public informed. Perry supports consolidation for better use of facilities and education per taxpayer dollars. Johnson and his wife, Virginia, have children ages 6 and 11 and seek new leadership.
