Campbell Hill burglaries under investigation by deputies
Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department continue a weekend burglary probe in Campbell Hill. Break ins affected Campbell Hill Community Center, the old Froemling Tire building, Campbell Hill Equipment on Brick Plant Road, and an attempted entry at J&W Storage. A Thursday night break in occurred at Shawnee Country Store nearby. All incidents involved forced entry.

Three Vehicle Crash in Murphysboro Injures One
In Murphysboro a three vehicle crash Monday sent one person to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Charles Alexander 76 failed to yield while turning left. Alicia Mendieta 46 drove an uninsured vehicle and lacked a valid license. Roberto Palazuelo 29 arrived to provide transport and also had no valid license. All posted bonds and were released pending court appearances.
