In Carbondale an altercation between two men left Kendron M. Lacey dead and Cory T. Simmons jailed in Jackson County facing charges. Police say the incident at 820 W Mill St Apt 313B is treated as a homicide with 911 call logged at 4 27 am. Officers found Simmons in the apartment and later located Lacey in a bedroom.
