Dongola man found guilty in beating and mob action
A jury convicted Terry Flores of Dongola, 27, on aggravated battery and mob action in a beating and robbery of Jeffrey Turner on Aug 19 near Dongola. Co defendants Dillon and Haynes await trial. Flores faces up to eight years with fines. Turner to sentencing April 23.

Cambria woman dies in Illinois 148 crash
Cambria resident Shirley Grigsby 73 died when she pulled from Rushing Drive into the path of Jo Ann Bigler 41 of Herrin at Illinois 148 near Illinois 13. Bigler, who was driving, is in stable condition. Grigsby’s son Robert 41 was hospitalized in stable condition. The crash occurred at 10 24 a m Tuesday.
