Serbia selects Zivkovic as new prime minister
Serbia's parliament elected Zoran Zivkovic, a Djindjic ally, as prime minister by 128 to 100 with 3 abstentions. He pledged to continue pro western reforms and fight organized crime while police hunt Djindjic's killers, arresting two alleged underworld figures and seizing arms. Authorities say 750 arrests and a large arms cache were made as the state of emergency remains in effect.
