Pontiac guard admits lying to investigators over riot
Dan L. Dill, a guard injured in the July 1978 Pontiac Correctional Center riot, testified he lied to investigators fearing reprisals against his family. He acknowledged naming seven inmates as participants who were not indicted, saying they merely looked similar. Dill identified three defendants in court and described the broader indictment of 17 inmates in the case.
