FutureGen push eyed for Southern Illinois site
U S Representative Jerry Costello says Southern Illinois is the right place for the FutureGen project citing local coal reserves and favorable geology for carbon trapping. SIUC researchers and Coal Research Center director John Mead foresee major research and funding flow as energy officials review regional suitability with international attention.
