Herrin Hospital will add eight acute rehab beds to its center, boosting capacity from 24 to 32 to reduce patient transfers. The project includes three extra ER beds, a new triage area, nurses’ station, and a PA to fast-track care. Upgrades also bring a mobile MRI unit and PET imaging with future biweekly availability starting March 19.
