Cambria converts old grade school to community center
Cambria will repurpose the former Cambria grade school as a community center after the district relocated to Tri-C Elementary. Mayor Bill Herron says meals for seniors may start in the kitchen, with playground equipment and space for ball practices, a potential soccer field, and possible partial move of the village hall. Utilities and insurance drive a yearly cost, and outside use would incur a token rental. Crainville declined the same offer and may sell its building. The district also announced retirements and hires for high school staff, plus an open house planned for March.
