McNeely 83 Dies After Long Illness in Anna Area
ANNA Earle Chester McNeely 83 of Anna died Feb 27 2008 at Jonesboro Rehabilitation. He served in US Army in WWII and Korea, was a Shriner and Masonic, retired electrician for CIPS. Survived by wife Betty, three children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation March 2, funeral March 8 at Johnson Hughes in Herrin with Masonic rites in Anna. Burial East Lawn Memorial Gardens Energy.

Marion man charged with aggravated DUI in Williamson County
A 22 year old Marion man, Ross Adam Hill, faced a status hearing in Williamson County Circuit Court for aggravated driving under the influence after a July 16 2007 crash near Wagon Creek Road. A passenger, Justin Dodd of Johnston City, died at the scene, Hill showed speeds of 51 to 66 mph and alcohol above the legal limit. A motion hearing is set for April 25 with no trial date yet.
