Western Illinoisans Chase Guinness World Records
Western Illinois residents pursue bizarre feats to enter the Guinness Book. Among the standouts, Dee Dee Price flips pancakes for over five days while Jerry Carter surpasses her time by 18 hours, Purple Martin broadcasts for hours on CB radio, and John and Dee Dee gelatinize 4250 boxes of Jell O in a makeshift 50 degree tank. Two nonlocals plan a Mississippi River crossing to reach St Louis by June 14, after previous feats like 54 000 sit ups and long river swims.
