State orders halt to misleading insurance ads

Illinois Department of Insurance directed ten insurers to stop what it calls illegal advertising effective immediately with hearings set for July. Agencies named include Country Life of Bloomington and National Casualty of Detroit among others. noncompliance could lead to license suspension.
