Opposition to Trailer Court Stirred in Herrin Heights
Residents of Egyptian Heights protested a proposed trailer court west of the Heights toward South 22nd Street. A petition with 136 signatures urged the city to bar the project while owner Warrie Hindman defended plans and claimed state sewage and trash rules would govern a facility of about 40 trailers. The council asked City Attorney Snyder to review state laws on trailer courts within Herrin.
