Du Quoin Fair to Stage Truck Tractor Mud Bog Spectacular
ATPA returns to Du Quoin State Fairgrounds for Motor Sports Spectacular 85 featuring truck and tractor pulls mud bogging in three classes and monster truck action. Competitors from eight states include Cyclops C-60 Chevy Gary Gardiner Awesome Kong II Jeff Dane plus female mud wrestling intermission and a Brent Sterling motorcycle stunt jump. Tickets 10 for adults 5 for children 12 and under.

Rend Lake Triathlon registrations near deadline
Registration closes Saturday for the third annual Rend Lake Triathlon on July 14 at Rend Lake. The course includes a 2 mile swim 29 mile bike and 6.2 mile run with shirts certificates and age group trophies. Proceeds go to the American Heart Association.
