56 Enrolled Volunteers Help A Lot At Veterans Hospital
Fifty six teen agers contribute hundreds of hours of service at the Veterans Hospital in Marion through the Junior Volunteers program. They assist in wards, transport patients, read, operate talking books, aid in therapy, and provide secretarial help. The program, praised by Mrs. Virginia Moake, has grown from 11 participants in 1961 to 56 this year, with many youths journeying from Mt. Vernon Creal Springs and Johnston City.
