DuQuoin mayor denies police chief selection claims

Du Quoin Mayor Robert Armstrong defends the city and Walter J. Minton against a civil suit filed by Thomas Melvin. Melvin alleges Minton assaulted him at the St Nicholas Hotel bar last August and seeks damages. The suit also cites alleged failures in reviewing and supervising Minton.
