Red Men's lodge to relocate as city to rebuild
Osage Tribe No. 146 of the Improved Order of Red Men, Herrin, one of the nation’s oldest fraternal groups, will lose its city hall quarters when demolition begins. The lodge, formed in 1901 and once the largest in Illinois, now has about 35 members and meets weekly, with plans to relocate to the old Bandyville school building or other space as the city plans a new hall.
