Ranch features sunken living room for family style living
This 2336 square foot ranch by architect William G Chirgotis blends hand split shingles and brick veneer with a long ridge roof. A sunken living room with large picture window opens to a formal dining area and wood paneled family room with brick fireplace. The 23 foot long kitchen dinette area includes ample counter space, two dinette areas, and a wall of windows overlooking the yard. The three bedroom layout places the master suite with walk in closets and tiled bath on the right wing, with a full basement planned for future rec room and workshop.

Medical history aids check up in cancer survey
A survey of over 2000 adults for the American Cancer Society shows nearly 60 percent had never had a physical exam including cancer tests, while only 25 percent keep regular check ups. Doctors emphasize an annual check up to prevent and detect illness early. Three physicians from across the United States stress a careful case history as essential. The Marine Hymn line about Montezuma appears in reference to the Mexican War.
