Laundering Study Award Goes to SIU's Betty Jane Johnston
Betty Jane Johnston, chair of Southern Illinois University's Department of Home and Family, receives a 17 month grant from the American Home Laundry Manufacturers Association to study homemakers' laundering practices. The Elaine Knowles Weaver Fund awarded the grant unanimously, supporting research on consumer knowledge and practices in home laundering and potential educational impact.
