Agnew statements usable in civil suit in Md
A Maryland Circuit Court ruled that statements made by former Vice President Spiro T. Agnew and his associates to federal prosecutors can be admitted in a 1976 civil suit by Montgomery County taxpayers seeking to recover alleged kickbacks. The decision allows the defendants to introduce evidence to discredit the statements and requires the taxpayers to prove injury.
