Volkswagen Chrysler deny report of near billion offer
Automotive News reported Volkswagen and Chrysler discussed a potential bid of about 1 billion dollars for Chrysler stock at 15 dollars a share. Chrysler president Jacocca called it pure speculation while Volkswagen denied any board meeting or offer, noting only a financial committee meeting.
