Court Cites Mattoon Firm in Patent Infringement Case
A Mattoon furniture company was ordered in U S District Court to halt the manufacture and sale of a line of school furniture claimed to infringe on Brunswick Balke Collender Co patents. Judge John A Barnes scheduled further court action to assess damages. Brunswick testified it designed the furniture and contracted with the Mattoon firm, later ending the contract when Brunswick expanded its own facilities.
