Last leg of trans Atlantic race to U S sails from Bermuda
Nearly 100 classic windjammers and modern yachts begin the final leg from Hamilton Bermuda to the United States. The fleet includes barks, schooners, and the 378 foot Kruzenshtern with 42 British women aboard Sir Winston Churchill. Russians lead overall after May 2 start in Plymouth, with Newport RI as the finish this week.
