Perry County plans building permit ordinance set at five dollar fee
A tentative Perry County plan proposes building permits for all construction with a five dollar flat fee plus a small per square foot charge for non farm projects. Industrial projects could be waived to spur development. The board aims to tax new homes and improvements properly to keep them on the property tax rolls and votes on June 25. The meeting also introduced a twenty thousand dollar ENCO Industries loan and a cross jurisdiction vicious dog ordinance with Du Quoin to align rules when dogs move between municipalities.
