Union County tax bills rise about five percent this year
Union County will see average tax bills up about five percent due to a higher tax multiplier and adjustments in assessed valuations. The Illinois Department of Local Governmental Affairs raised the multiplier from 1.2658 to 1.3933, with total Equalized Assessed Valuation at 41,937,346, and Anna residents facing the highest rate at 5.6020.
