Giant City State Park Seeks 750 Acre Acquisition
Plans to acquire 750 acres of privately owned land within Giant City State Park near Makanda have been submitted to the Illinois Building Authority. The seven tracts are cited as creating management and enforcement problems and a threat of development within the park.
