JWCAA seeks $20,000 emergency grant for aid
The Jackson Williamson Community Action Agency requests a $20,000 federal emergency food and medical service grant to aid those in immediate need. Outgoing director Jerry Lacey announced his last day and advised board on expectations for a new director. A temporary director, Dempsey Crim, starts soon as IAHD training plans are postponed to accommodate the transition. new board member Ida Johnston joins Murphysboro representation and 19 youths will be hired under the Neighborhood Youth Corps program to place in work-study sites.
