The slicker-hatted youth reveals he is from Philadelphia but recently returned from Vietnam.
The Senate passed a nonbinding resolution urging federal agencies not to roll back or freeze farm prices below parity. Sponsored by Sen George McGovern and over 40 farm state senators, the measure follows GOP charges that officials suppress farm prices to blame inflation on producers. The resolution bars actions that prevent agricultural prices from rising to parity, noting current farm price averages at 78 percent of parity.
David D. Douglas of Cave In Rock, 55, was fined 200 on two charges after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene. A Marion policeman said his car sideswiped another vehicle on May 29 in the wrong lane and then did not stop.
Betty Ellis of Carbondale sues John Lonergan II in Jackson County Circuit Court over a June 19 1965 collision on Easterly Road near Chautauqua Road. Ellis seeks 10000 in damages claiming injuries as a passenger in a car driven by Paul Ellis when it collided with Lonergan’s vehicle.
