Frankfort School District Faces Milk Lunch Deficit
The Frankfort Unit School District may face a deficit next year in its milk and lunch program if federal assistance remains unavailable. Supt. Clyde Corn told the Board of Education that two months of reimbursements and surplus foods were not received, leaving a shortfall of 6 000 to 7 000 dollars. He warned Congress funds may be exhausted and no re funding is yet assured, while up to 30 students could face tuition for junior college if Four County is not approved. The district might transfer about 4 000 dollars from another fund to cover a remaining shortfall.
