Francis and Savalas lawsuits in court
The U.S. Court of Appeals on Monday lifted a gag order in Connie Francis $5 million suit over a Long Island motel rape, ruling the trial courtroom is a public facility. The court allowed press coverage unless safety or other compelling reasons outweigh public interest. Also noted were Savalas libel concerns with Associated Newspapers and Stella Stevens invasion suit against Playboy, plus Burns performance at the London Palladium.
