Florida woman named General Federation of Women's Clubs president
Mrs. E D Pearce of Miami Florida has become president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs at the diamond jubilee convention in Chicago. The event featured celebrations and several resolutions including humane slaughter reform and opposition to Red China joining the United Nations. Pearce succeeds Mrs William Hasebrook and is expected to unveil her program for release this summer as orange juice flowed from fountains in recognition of Florida.
