Coal truck crash closes Jackson County road for hours
In Jackson County Illinois a coal truck overturned after a crash Monday morning, spilling coal and prompting closure for over six hours. Tyson Nausley 25 De Soto was cited for improper lane usage after drifting into an oncoming westbound Peterbilt driven by Michael Trexler 43 Murphysboro. The wreck occurred east of North Mudline Road near Oroville and involved a westbound Peterbilt loaded with coal.

Ava man charged with aggravated battery in Ava yard beating
Jeffery McComb, 38, told a judge he is unemployed due to a hand injury and faces aggravated battery causing great bodily harm for allegedly striking a 29 year old man in the yard.
