Davis received a $250000 payout and the district spent over $350000 on legal fees in 2008. Board refuses to explain May’s firing or timetables for a replacement. State Sen. Gary Forby co-sponsored the audit, urging scrutiny while a move to elect board members gains traction.
In Belleville Illinois an 85 year old retiree Fred Andricks died after a 40 minute ambulance trek to a St. Louis center as a local hospital stopped performing brain surgery. The swelling from a head injury proved fatal the next day.
