Damaged Delta Queen Towed Toward Cape Girardeau
The riverboat Delta Queen, hindered by mechanical trouble, was to land at Cape Girardeau after towboat guidance up the Mississippi. Passengers bound for St. Louis would be bused to Cape Girardeau, and those due to depart St. Louis would similarly reach that port by bus or other transport. Captain D L Rainbolt said a paddle wheel part broke Tuesday in Louisville causing the cut short cruise.
