County borrows from itself to save interest in Jackson County
Jackson County agencies facing cash strains from late tax bills will borrow idle county funds to issue tax anticipation warrants. The plan, approved after State's Attorney Ron Briggs advised, uses idle treasury funds and motor fuel tax reserves to issue short term warrants repaid from first tax revenues.
