Du Quoin teens train for Junior Olympics in Taekwondo
Du Quoin teens Lucas Evans and Jesse Wager prepare for the Junior Olympics under Master Corky Longshore. Evans, 17, and Wager, 13, spar, kick, run, and lift daily to endure three one minute rounds with 30 second rests. Evans has already won gold in forms and sparring at a qualifying event in Rochester Minnesota. Both teens describe Taekwondo as a lifestyle teaching respect and humility while aiming for gold in July.
