Gessner golfing star rises at Mount Vernon HS
Brant Gessner, a Mount Vernon Township High School senior, earns praise as Southern Illinois finest junior golfer. He posted strong nine hole averages, high finishes in South Seven and Optimist Junior World events, and credits family and coach Jerry Tucker for development. Gessner aims to win this year’s district and HS tourney, with a 2 handicap and a rigorous practice routine. Also notes John A. Logan College Foundation Golf Day Classic funds.
