SIU student dislocates knee after window fall
A Southern Illinois University student suffered a dislocated knee when she fell while lowering a window Tuesday night. Karen Sue Wingate, 712 A South University Ave., Carbondale, was taken to Doctors Hospital at 11:30 p.m. by Carbondale firemen. She fell from a chest while lowering the upper part of the window. Rites set for Pleasant Barnwell in Zeigler. Burial at Zeigler Cemetery after funeral Thursday. Only six civilians, all technical advisers, were aboard the U. S. nuclear submarine Triton on its first world voyage underwater.
