New information in Lorek death probe in Missouri
Coroner Garland Clarkson of Taney County says new information could pinpoint the death of Southern Illinois lawyer Ted Lorek whose body was found May 1 at the bottom of an Ozarks cliff near Branson. A coroner's jury ruled out homicide but could not determine the cause. Lorek, 39, formerly of Carbondale, was linked to a stolen boat tied to a truck stopped by Missouri Highway Patrol outside Branson. An investigator suggested robbery and a possible fall or being thrown from the cliff.
