Ninth in a class of 563, Du Quoin star Don Stanhouse was drafted Thursday by the Oakland Athletics in the first round after a standout prep career. Southern Illinois University’s Mike Rogodzinski and Bil Clark were also reported picks, with Rogodzinski taken by the Phillies in the second round.
