Benton teachers reach three year contract with no first year raise
The Benton Federation of Teachers and the Benton grade school board agreed to a three year deal with no pay raise in year one and 2 percent raises in years two and three. Superintendent Rick Cook praised union negotiators for trading off to protect the district’s finances. The agreement covers 67 BFT teachers across Benton elementary middle and high schools, amid a bare bones budget and a two year financial watch list context.
