Nurse fights suspension over two patient deaths at Good Samaritan
Linda Kurle, a 24 year old nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, was suspended May 29 after two patients under her supervision died from alleged insulin overdoses. Her attorney says she is innocent and being made a scapegoat, noting others cared for the patients and that she previously worked at the hospital in 1977 and in Egypt. The hospital will meet with her June 11 to discuss her nursing involvement while police and the state's attorney's office investigate the deaths. One patient died in October and the other on February 8.
