Humphrey strength shown in Michigan delegation vote
Michigan's 96 delegates lean toward Hubert Humphrey in the Democratic race amid a party regularity system and old loyalties. Kennedy and McCarthy blocs contest the split, while the state party chair lifts a quieting rule to push declaration of choices. Separate obituaries note local residents and a Murphysboro burial, followed by a Carbondale postal annex air conditioning upgrade scheduled for summer.
