Commencement at University School Carbondale June 12
Commencement exercises at University School Carbondale will be held at 7 30 p m June 12 in the school auditorium. No baccalaureate services. Thomas E Cassidy of Southern Illinois University will deliver the address. Sixty eight will graduate. Diplomas will be presented by Arthur E Lean. John D Mees will announce scholarship winners. Invocation by Rev H C Croslin. Orchard Tour Set Wednesday at Flamm Orchard
An equipment demonstration and orchard tour will be held at the area Orchard Day Wednesday at the Flamm orchard 122 miles south of Carbondale on Rt. 51. Registration runs 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Demonstration 10:30 to noon. Illi nois fruit queen Virginia Ogden of Lebannon will appear, lunch 12 to 1:30 p.m. Tour at 1:30 p.m. covers tree training weed control and plantings. Sponsored by the Illinois Fruit Council and Illinois State Horticulture Society.
